The days go by and soon Christmas is near. As Ron and Harry are not spending their holidays at home, they can investigate about Nicolas Flamel, since they have not found him in any library book so far. But as soon as the holidays begin, the two boys have lots of other things in their mind and are happy about lots of gifts on Christmas morning - Harry′s first Christmas presents ever. One of them is an Invisibility cloak which enables him to search the forbidden department of the library that very evening. When he opens a book, which starts screaming, Filch is alarmed and Harry has to hide in a classroom, where he discovers a mirror. Therin Harry sees his parents for the first time. He is so fascinated by their sight that he decides to check on the mirror another night. He does not see Professor Dumbledore when he watches his parents waving from the mirror once more. The headmaster explains him how the mirror works, but also advises Harry not to search for it anymore, because it will be hidden again.
