Ten years later Harry still lives with the Dursleys. It is a shock for them finding Harry the next morning on their doorsteps. They give him a home, clothes (old ones from Dudley) and a room in a cupboard under the stairs but show no love or affection for him. Today is Dudley′s birthday and therefore the whole family goes to visit the zoo. They only take Harry with them because nobody can look after him. At the zoo Harry talks to a Boa Constrictor and surprisingly understands her as well. When Dudley leans against the glass it simply disappears. Fat Dudley shrinks back while the snake slithers among the visitors into freedom. Things like these happened to Harry before. Although he can not find an explanation why the glass is gone and therefore he gets punished and is not allowed to leave the cupboard this evening.
