The person who knocks on the door turns out to be a giant and introduces himself as Hagrid, the Keeper of Keys of Hogwarts. Hagrid is surprised that Harry doesn′t know anything about Hogwarts.
So he gets very angry with the Dursleys for they never told Harry that he is a wizard and will soon go to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.
Hagrid has the task to tell him everything about himself. Finally Harry gets his letter from Hagrid. The content says that his school year in Hogwarts begins at September the 1st.
But Mr Dursley doesn′t want Harry to go to this school and insults the director of Hogwarts, Prof. Albus Dumbledore. That is why Hagrid looses control over himself and curses a pigtail on Dudley′s bottom.
Harry finally gets to know how his parents died by Hagrid. They have been killed by the darkest wizard of all times known as You-Know-Who.
