The first flying lesson is being announced and the Gryffindors will have them together with the Slytherins. Neville and Hermione are very nervous and Hermione does what she always does: She reads every book about flying which she can get. Neville gets a present from his grandmother, a Remembrall. This item lights up red if its owner has forgotten something. The flying lesson starts the same afternoon, their teacher is Madam Hooch. Harry seems to be a natural prodigy. Poor Neville is not that lucky. His broom starts acting crazy and sends himself high up. Neville crashes down, breaks his wrist and Madam Hooch has to accompany him to the Hospital Wing.
Draco Malfoy finds Neville′s Remembrall and flies high into the air with it. Harry follows him to get it back and turns out to be very good. Draco throws the Remembrall far away but Harry manages to catch it in time before it hits the ground. Professor McGonagall sees all this and takes Harry straight off to Oliver Wood, captain of the Gryffindor Quidditch team. Harry becomes Gryffindor′s new seeker. After this defeat Draco challenges Harry to a wizard duel at midnight. Harry and Ron decide to go and Hermione and Neville follow them. When they arrive at the arranged location, Draco doesn′t appear but therefore Filch. They manage to flee and hide in a chamber in the forbidden corridor on the third floor. They discover a huge three-headed dog standing on a trap door snd to not be eaten by it they have to run again and return to the Gryffindor common room. Harry thinks that he knows now where the mysterious package is that was taken from the vault at Gringotts by Hagrid.
