As Harry′s owl is racketing the whole time, Harry′s Uncle Vernon gets angry; and he gets even more angry as Harry wants Dudley to say the "magic word", because the Dursleys despise everything that has something to do with magic. It is Harry′s birthday and the Dursleys expect a visit of one of uncle Vernon′s customers, namely Mr. Mason accompanied by his wife. Harry has to stay in his room making no noise, pretending he does not exist. Harry is sad, because none of his friends remembered his birthday. He didn′t even get a single letter during the summer holidays. As dinner time is approaching, Harry goes, as ordered, to his room. But surprisingly someone already is in his room and waits for him.
