Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets
Chapter 6 - Gilderoy Lockhart
When the owl post is delivered the next morning, there′s nothing left to laugh for Ron and Harry, as Mrs. Weasley sends Ron a Howler and the story about their arrival at school now is well-known to the whole school. There is another problem, because Ron isn′t able to fix his wand with magic tape.
On their way to Herbology they meet Gilderoy Lockhart, who annoyed Prof. Sprout with his half-knowledge as she was vetting the whomping willow. Lockhart takes Harry aside and tells him not to take similar action like flying the car again, although he understands that Harry wants his picture on the front page. Harry is protesting, but Lockhart doesn′t care.
At lunch time Harry meets one of his greatest fans named Colin Creevey. His efforts to take a picture of Harry give Gilderoy Lockhart a wonderful reason to make a big show.
In the evening hours Harry and his class have their first lesson in Defence against Dark Arts. Prof. Lockhart brought pixies with him to demonstrate who to deal with them. Unfortunately he is not able to control them himself and thus flees from class. He leaves the task of locking the pixies away to Harry, Ron and Hermione.
