Harry tells Hermione everything about the meeting with Sirius and the meeting with Hagrid, where he found out the first task. They look for a useful spell in many books, but find none. The next morning Harry tells Cedric about the first task. Moody sees them and takes Harry with him, even though Harry has Herbology. Moody helps him with the first task. He ought to fly. So Harry has to practice the Summoning charm perfectly with Hermione. They practice in an empty classroom. The next day is the day with the task and Cedric has to do it first. He fights against the Swedish Short-Snout, then Fleur takes on the Common Welsh Green, then Krum fights against the Chinese Fireball and then Harry against the worst, the Hungarian Horntail. Bagman wants to help Harry before his task, but Harry knows what to do. Everybody manages to catch the golden egg. Harry hurts his shoulder. Ron and Harry get along with one another again. Harry and Krum tie for the first place. In the egg there is a
riddle that gives them a clue for the next task.
