After the first task Harry writes a letter to Sirius, to tell him how it went. Afterwards he goes to the common room, where a surprise party is taking place. Hermione learns where the kitchen is. They open the egg, it emits a shrill sound and they close it again directly.
Rita Skeeter appears in Hagrid′s lesson and makes an appointment for an interview with Hagrid. Hermione finds out that Dobby and Winky work in the kitchen and Dobby even gets money for it. Winky does not want money. Harry, Ron and Hermione look around the kitchen. The three get many snacks from the house-elves as they prepare to go.
