Harry does not know how he could survive under water for an hour and so he starts to research it in some books. Sirius asks him by owl when he plans to be back in Hogsmeade. On the evening before the task Harry, Ron and Hermione try to solve the problem, but Ron and Hermione have to leave with Prof. McGonagall. Harry has to search for a solution by himself and falls asleep in the library. He gets help from Dobby at the last second to solve the task. He is supposed to use Gillyweed. Harry has to dive into the lake to get Ron out. But since he doesn′t want to leave the others behind, he doesn′t go back to the surface immediately, instead Cedric arrives back at the surface first with Cho, than Krum with Hermione. Fleur had to give up earlier. Harry rescues Ron and Gabrielle, Fleur′s sister. In the end, Harry and Cedric tie for first place, Krum is in second place and Fleur the third. The champions do not have to prepare for the last task.
