Harry speaks with Hermione and Ron about the visit at Dumbledore. Harry prepares himself for the third task. It is hard to learn everything, but Harry does it. On the day of the task, an article is published by Rita Skeeter about Harry′s breakdown in Divination. Harry gets a visit of Bill and Mrs. Weasley. Then the task begins. Harry and Cedric start first. In the maze Harry has to fight against a spider, a blast-ended Skrewt and has to unravel the mystery of a sphinx. Harry hears a scream of Fleur and thinks that something happened to her, but he cannot help her. Krum attacks Cedric, but Harry rescues him. Cedric and Harry think both of them have deserved the Triwizard Cup and take hold of it at the same time. As they hold it, they disappear. It is a portkey.
