During the next two weeks the DA members meet regularly and everybody improves. Hermione hands out coins, which show everyone, when they meet again. For a while, the meetings are called off, because the Quidditch match Gryffindor against Slytherin is on the agenda and they practice every day. On the day of the match, Ron is extremely nervous and Harry worries about him, because his greatest weakness is his lack of self-confidence. During the match, the Slytherins sing a song about Ron so he plays so badly that Gryffindor would have lost if Harry hadn’t caught the snitch. After the game, Malfoy insults first the Weasley family, then Harry’s mother, so Harry and George knock him down. McGonagall orders both boys into her office and punishes them with detention. But as Prof. Umbridge has issued a new decree authorizing her to correct every punishment dealt by other teachers, she gives Harry, George and even Fred a lifelong suspension from Quidditch and takes their brooms away. Everyone in Gryffindor is hit badly by the news. Ron wants to end his career as Keeper, because he thinks that it his fault, that Harry got kicked out of the team. This situation leads to an argument between Harry and Ron. Hermione stops them and tells them that Hagrid is back.
