Mrs. Figg and Mundungus Fletcher, who was not there when the Dementors appeared, have been watching over Harry already for the whole holidays. Harry is angry and wants to know what the matter is, but Mrs. Figg asks him to go home with Dudley. On the way home he meets Mundungus, who is been send to Dumbledore by Mrs. Figg to give a report. Harry`s aunt and uncle want to know what happened to Dudley, because he is acting strange after the attack. Dudley blames Harry to have attacked him with a magic spell. The Dursleys are very angry about that. Suddenly several owls arriving at Harry`s room. At first Harry is expelled from school because he has practiced magic. But then there are messages from Sirius and others, that say that he should stay at home and do nothing. In the end he is not expelled but he has an appointment to a hearing at the ministry of magic. In the meantime, Petunia and Vernon find out what happened to Dudley. Petunia knows a lot about the wizarding world and that perplexes Harry. In the end, she gets a howler, which says she should remember the last one. She does not explain what this means and says that Harry must stay with the Dursleys. She sends Harry to his room, which he is not supposed to leave.
