Harry, Ron and Hermione are on the way to Hagrid under the Invisibility Cloak. He is very happy to see his three friends but doesn’t want to talk about the bad injuries in his face. After some time, he tells them about his journey with Madame Maxime, looking for the last Giants to gather their support against Voldemort. They had managed to get the chief’s support with some presents from Dumbledore, but he was murdered and his successor welcomed the Death Eaters. Hagrid and Madame Maxime had convinced seven Giants, who were against the new chief, to follow them, but they were attacked again and so the survivors don’t want to see Hagrid and Madame Maxime anymore and they returned. While Hagrid is still telling his story, Professor Umbridge knocks on the door. Very fast, Harry, Ron and Hermione hide under the Invisibility Cloak and Hagrid removes their cups. Professor Umbridge has seen the foot prints in front of his cabin, but Hagrid pretends not to know anything. Umbridge combs his cabin and tries to find out, where he was. As she goes, she points out that she will examine his lesson as soon as possible. Harry, Ron and Hermione come out of their hiding place and ask Hagrid to make “normal” lessons, but he doesn’t want to. Concerned, they go back to the castle.
