Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix
Chapter 21 - The Eye of the Snake
Hermione tries again to make Hagrid understand that Umbridge will not let him continue his usual lessons, but he doesn′t really listen. During Hagrid′s next lesson, he takes the class into the Forbidden Forest and shows them Thestrals, the animals, that pull the school carriages. The unique effect of these animals is that only those people who saw somebody die can see them. Professor Umbridge joins them later on and manages to make Hagrid look like a stupid, ignorant teacher. In December, there is the last meeting of the DA before Christmas. In this lesson, they repeat what they have already learned. As everybody apart from Harry and Cho is gone, they kiss. Cho weeps while kissing, what confuses Harry. Hermione later explains, that Cho is going through an emotional chaos because of Cedric′s death.
That night, Harry dreams of Cho, but suddenly the dream changes. Harry is a snake and slides through a long corridor. At the end of the corridor somebody is sleeping, but as he moves, the snake - Harry - bites him. Ron wakes him up because of his cry. Harry has a lot of pain, but he manages to tell Ron that his father is badly injured. Neville fetches McGonagall who brings Ron and Harry to Dumbledore.
