After Hermione and Harry have led their teacher deep into the Forbidden Forest, they get stopped by centaurs. As Prof. Umbridge angrily abuses them as half-breeds and creatures, they carry her off but leave Hermione and Harry alone for the moment. Just as they want to decide what should happen to the pupils, Grawp appears with loud stamping. He is very furious and calls for Hagrid. As he discovers Hermione and Harry, the situation escalates. The centaurs fire all arrows, which they possess, on him, so that Grawp begins to cry. Thereupon the centaurs run away, in order to protect themselves against the half-giant, who however runs after them. Hermione and Harry are left behind alone, until suddenly Ron, Ginny, Neville and Luna appear. They have freed themselves with stunning and immobilizing charms. Harry reminds them all that he had a daydream, in which Sirius was killed by Voldemort in London. Thus the six decide to fly there. To their luck Harry and Hermione have attracted Thestrals, on which they now want to fly to the ministry.
