Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince
Chapter 29 - The Phoenix Lament
Ginny appears beside Harry and does her best to get Harry away from Dumbledore’s dead body. After a few seconds Harry goes to the hospital wing with Ginny. She tells Harry that no one has died inside the school. The only thing that has happened is that Bill Weasley has been bitten by Fenrir Greyback, who wasn′t changed into a werewolf this time. No one has an idea which consequences the bite might have.
Every single person is shocked when they say out loud that Dumbledore is really dead. Harry tells them everything he has seen and heard during the moment when he was frozen. Finally they hear Fawkes the phoenix cry. They talk about what has happened that evening – how the Death Eaters could get into the castle and that Professor McGonagall had asked for Professor Snape.
Mr and Mrs Weasley arrive at the hospital wing in company of Fleur Delacour who makes it clear that she still loves Bill and wants to marry him no matter what happened to him. While Fleur and Mrs Weasley are hugging in tears, Tonks explains that she also doesn′t care that Lupin had been bitten by a werewolf and that she loves him regardless. Hagrid appears and tells them that he took away Dumbledore′s body. Professor McGonagall asks Harry to come to a conversation with her in the headmaster′s office. In the office there is a new picture now – Dumbledore’s. In the meantime all Heads of House – Slughorn comes for Slytherin –talk about Hogwarts′ future and about Dumbledore′s funeral. All of them agree that Dumbledore′s funeral should be done on Hogwarts′ grounds.
