Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince
Chapter 30 - The White Tomb
The days before the funeral are bustling and unbalanced. One day after the announcement of Dumbledore′s death many students are fetched by their parents. There aren′t many rooms to rent in Hogsmeade anymore, because a lot of witches and wizards want to pay their last respects to Dumbledore.
Hermione talks to Harry once again and tells him that she found out that Eileen Prince had been Snape′s mother. The ′Half-Blood′ came from his father, who had been a Muggle.
At the day of Dumbledore′s funeral all the students that have remained make their way from the Great Hall onto the Hogwarts grounds. There are lots of people who want to be at Dumbledore′s funeral or want to pay their last respects to him.
A little man in black clothes gives a speech on which Harry can′t concentrate. When the man finishes, everything near the corpse bursts into flames and people begin to scream. At the moment when the flames vanish, everyone can see a white tomb, which protects Dumbledore′s dead body.
Ginny tells Harry that she is really sorry, because she hasn′t mentioned that she has fallen in love with him a long time ago. The conversation is interrupted when Scrimgeour appears and wants to talk to Harry about the night′s happenings. But Harry isn′t interested in doing so and says that the happening are his own business. Harry tells his friends that he will set off, but they don′t want to let him go. They want to always be with him.
