Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince
Chapter 9 - The Half-Blood Prince
The next morning Harry talks to Ron and Hermione about what Draco said in the train. When they go to breakfast in the Great Hall, they discuss their timetables. Hagrid is expecting them to join his lesson, but what will he think if they don′t do so?
Hermione is the first to be finished with breakfast and goes to her first lesson on that day. Professor McGonagall goes round the table of Gryffindor and talks with her students about the OWLs. Professor Snape doesn′t teach Potions any longer, so she says that Harry can go on learning Potions, which will enable him to become an Auror. Harry has doubts, because he hasn′t got books or other material for the lesson, but he will join in.
In the first lesson of Defence Against the Dark Arts with Professor Snape they learn non-verbal spells. Harry isn′t good at this and he gets detention.
At lunch Harry gets a letter from Dumbledore, who invites him to a meeting. Unfortunately Dumbledore chose for his private lesson the same time Snape wants Harry to do detention.
In the first lesson of Potions Ron and Harry get books from Professor Slughorn. Harry is angry, because his book is smudged with notes. But is this bad? The notes are helpful for Harry′s potion and he wins a bottle of ′Felix Felicis′.
When Hermione and Ginny hear that Harry has so much luck with his potions book, they test it, because they remember the diary of Tom Riddle. Finally Harry finds out who was the first owner of the book: the Half-Blood Prince.
