The next morning Harry hides the magical eye of Mad-Eye Moody taken out of Umbridge’s office. They decide to sleep every night at a different place. Harry wants to get some food from a nearby village, but Dementors are in the village and he isn’t able to use the Patronus Charm. One day they hear voices and use Extendable Ears to overhear the strangers. They find out from the overheard persons, who are Ted Tonks, Dean Thomas and three others, that Ginny has tried to steal Gryffindor’s sword. Now the sword is hidden at Gringotts but it is only a fake. But that only knows the talking Goblin. The persons also say that Xenophilius Lovegood’s The Quibbler supports Harry Potter. With the help of Phineas Niggelus the three friends find out that their friends in Hogwarts are doing well and a very useful information: The real sword of Godric Gryffindor is able to destroy Horcruxes. Unfortunately Harry has no idea where the real sword could be. Ron gets so annoyed with Harry that he decides to disappear.
