Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows
Chapter 2 - In Memoriam
Harry cleans up his school trunk and packs the most important and useful things, for the search of the horcruxes, into a rucksack. He finds a fragment of Sirius’ mirror. After that he goes through the old Daily Prophets and searches for the obituary by Elphias Doge who wrote about Dumbledore’s youth, family and the death of his mother and sister. The fact that Dumbledore told him nothing about himself disappoints Harry. He tears the article out of the newspaper and packs it too. Then he turns to the new Prophet where he finds an interview with Rita Skeeter about the book she wrote about Dumbledore. She talks about Dumbeldore′s sister and thinks that she was a squib and because of that she was hidden. She tries hard to destroy the “myth of Dumbledore” and to show his dark sides. Harry becomes very upset by those stories Rita Skeeter spreads and takes the fragment of the mirror into his hand and imagines to see Dumbledore’s eye in it for a second.
