Harry, Ron, Hermione and Griphook go ahead with their plan to break into Gringotts. Hermione uses Polyjuice Potion and transforms into Bellatrix Lestrange. She even has her wand which Harry took from Malfoy Manor. As they apparate into Diagon Alley they run into Travers, a Death Eater, but manage to cover the awkward situation until they are inside the bank, where Harry uses the Imperius Curse at Travers and a Goblin and makes the second taking the group to the Lestrange’s vault. But Gringotts was alerted to the possibility of impostors and installed extra safety measures. The vault is protected by a half-blind dragon, but they handle it without a problem. When the friends and the Goblin enter the vault they realise that every treasure they handle will burn them and then multiply so they soon are sinking into burning treasure. But they find Hufflepuff’s Cup and manage to take it outside the vault where they have to fight their way through armed Goblins before escaping on the back of the dragon that was guarding the treasure for decades but flees when they set it free. Griphook disappears in this confusion taking Gryffindor’s sword with him.
