Luna manages to stun Alecto, waking the other Ravenclaws. Harry quickly has to get back underneath the Invisibility Cloak to Luna. He has a vision as suddenly a loud bang appears on the door, because Amycus doesn’t know the password and wants to get in. McGonagall lets him into the common room of Ravenclaw. When Amycus finds his sister unconscious he frightens, because he feels on his mark, that Alecto called the Dark Lord. As Amycus wants to blame the Ravenclaws McGonagall stops him. Amycus spits into her face and Harry reveals himself to her and together they neutralize the Carrows. She is very worried about Harry and wants that he leaves immediately. Learning of Harry’s need to search the castle, McGonagall decides to try and hold up Voldemort with the other teachers while evacuating the students. She starts by duelling Snape who flees from the school and then she organizes Hogwarts’ defences. Harry asks Flitwick whether he knows where the diadem is, but he doesn’t know anything. As Harry returns, Mrs Weasley and Ginny are in a discussion whether Ginny is allowed to fight too. Percy shows up and they find together again.
