All pupils and teachers are in the Great Hall. While McGonagall explains the plan, they hear the voice of Lord Voldemort. Lord Voldemort issues an ultimatum to hand over Harry Potter or face an attack. Harry searches for Ron and Hermione while the pupils are evacuated. The Slytherins leave completely. The ultimatum is refused, some older students even decide to stay and fight. Meanwhile Harry continues his search for Ravenclaw′s diadem: He asks the ghost of Ravenclaw, the Grey Lady, who is not very happy about his questions. Harry ensures her, that he doesn′t want to have good marks instead he wants to fight Voldemort. She tells him an astonishing story. Harry thinks that Tom Riddle hid the diadem, after he took it, somewhere in Hogwarts. Harry meets Hagrid and Grawp with whom he starts to search for Ron and Hermione. In the middle of the raging battle, he finds Ron and Hermione who have destroyed Hufflepuff′s cup with a Basilisk′s fangs they took out of the Chamber of Secrets. Together they enter the Room of Requirement but are followed by Draco Malfoy, Crabbe and Goyle. They duel and Crabbe conjures up Fiendfyre which kills him and sends the others running from the room but not before it has also destroyed the Horcrux. Once outside, they find themselves in the middle of a battle between Death Eaters who have managed to enter the castle and the Order and they have to watch Fred dieing because of an attack.
